Eggless WholeWheat Chocolate Cake topped with Strawberries
Chocolate makes everything all right! And what better to way make it better than to bake a chocolate cake and add some strawberries to hit the right sweet spot!
The stuff you need to make this:
- Wheat flour 2 cup
- Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
- Baking soda 1 tsp
- Brown Sugar 1 1/4 cup
- Vinegar/Lime juice 2 tsp
- Milk 1 1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence 2 tsp
- Oil 1/2 cup
Easy Chocolate ganache:
- Chocolate (I used Dairy Milk chocolate -the regular one)
- Milk (1/4 cup)
Fresh Strawberries for garnish
How to make Eggless Whole-Wheat Chocolate Cake topped with Strawberries
Sieve wheat flour, cocoa powder and baking soda together. Do this for atleast 4-5 times. Now in a separate bowl add milk and add the brown sugar and mix till the sugar is dissolved. To this, add oil, vinegar (I added Apple Cider Vinegar) and vanilla essence. Mix this properly. Now add the flour mix to this wet mix ensuring there are no lumps. Grease your cake tin with butter/ oil and line your parchment paper, and dust it with some flour. Preheat your oven at 190 deg C and then bake your cake for 30-40 mins. Check if the cake is done with the tooth pick test (when it comes out clean).
Allow the cake to cool. Then pour warm milk on your your chocolate slab and allow it to be melted and apply that goey deliciousness on your cooled cake. Let the cake cool in your refrigerator for 45mins -1 hour and then garnish it with some sliced strawberries! Enjoy this cake with your loved ones!
