Eggless Choco chip cookies....Father's day special!
Little A decided that she had to do something special apart from making a card, so she decided to help me make some extra special eggless chocochip cookies, which she announced is the purrfect gift for her father, because she believed that only chocolate could match his sweetness:) (of course she knew that the lion share of it would be in her tummy, so some fringe benefits were also in order:P)
The Stuff required:
All purpose flour (Maida) – 1 cup + 2 tablespoons
The Stuff required:
All purpose flour (Maida) – 1 cup + 2 tablespoons
Baking soda – 1/2 teaspoonSalt – a pinch, skip it if using salted butterUnsalted butter – 1/2 cup or 1 stick, softened to room temperatureGranulated sugar – 1/4 cupBrown sugar – 1/4 cup (demerra)Vanilla extract – 1/2 teaspoonMilk – 2 tablespoonsChocolate chips – 1/2 cup
How to go about making these extra special cookies:
Preheat the oven to 180 degree C for 10 minutes. Line your baking tray with parchment paper. Whisk all the dry ingredients (all purpose flour, salt and baking soda) in a bowl. Soften the butter in another bowl using your wire whisk until it becomes smooth, then add both the sugar and whisk again. It should become fluffy. To this add the vanilla extract and milk. Then add the flour mix to this and mix. Then add the chocochips to this mix and make soft balls and then flatten them on your parchment lined tray. To make it interesting for Little A, we used cookie cutters in different shapes! Bake this for 10-15 mins in the pre-heated oven for 180deg C. Once baked, let the cookies cool on a wire rack and then store it in an air-tight container. Happy Baking!
