Bottle Gourd Soup...perfect for a cold wet day!

So Bangalore is facing the after-effects of Cyclone Vardah and while we are all complaining the chill in the weather, I reckon it is the perfect time to have some soup to warm up! 
The stuff required to make the bottle gourd soup
1medium sized bottle gourd-peeled
Onion-2-chopped
Tomato 2-chopped
Half inch ginger, crushed
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of oil (can use olive or any other)
1/4th teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Lemon juice-1 tablespoon
Ground pepper and salt to taste



In a pressure cooker add a little oil and then the cut vegetables and the spices mentioned. Saute the same for a couple of minutes. Add a cup of water and pressure cook for upto 3 whistles. Once this gets cooled grind it in a mixie and strain this. 

The sieved liquid can be boiled after adding lemon juice and serve it hot with some freshly ground ground pepper and salt (as per taste)
